Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in Uzbekistan and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals. 

• Endangered:
  • Markhor (Capra falconeri).
  • Snow Leopard (Uncia uncia).
  • Tiger (Panthera tigris).
• Vulnerable:
  • Argali (Ovis ammon). 
  • Asiatic Wild Ass (Equus hemionus). (Re-introduced populations.)
  • Eurasian Otter (Lutra lutra). 
  • Geoffroy's Bat (Myotis emarginatus).
  • Long-fingered Bat (Myotis capaccinii).
  • Menzbier's Marmot (Marmota menzbieri).
