Threatened Species: The following list
includes all mammals which occur in Oman and are rated as Critically
Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals.
- Critically Endangered:
- Dhofarian Shrew (Crocidura dhofarensis). (Endemic to Oman.)
- Endangered:
- Arabian Jird (Meriones arimalius).
- Arabian Oryx (Oryx
leucoryx). (Re-introduced populations.)
- Arabian Tahr (Hemitragus jayakari).
- Nubian Ibex (Capra nubiana).
- Vulnerable:
- Arabian Pipistrelle (Pipistrellus arabicus). (Endemic to Oman.)
- Dugong (Dugong dugon).
- Geoffroy's Bat (Myotis emarginatus).
- Sind Bat (Eptesicus nasutus).
- Wild Goat (Capra aegagrus).
