Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in Angola and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals.

Critically Endangered:
- Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis).
- Vernay's Climbing Mouse (Dendromus vernayi). (Endemic to Angola.)
Endangered:
- Chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes).
- Fin Whale (Balaenoptera physalus).
- Giant African Water Shrew (Potamogale velox).
- Mountain Zebra (Equus zebra).
- Western Gorilla (Gorilla gorilla).
- Wild Dog (Lycaon pictus).
Vulnerable:
- African Elephant (Loxodonta africana).
- African Golden Cat (Profelis aurata).
- Anchieta's Pipistrelle (Bat) (Pipistrellus anchietai).
- Angolan Hairy Bat (Myotis seabrai).
- Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus).
- Heather Shrew (Crocidura erica). (Endemic to Angola.)
- Humpback Whale (Megaptera novaeangliae).
- Large-eared Free-tailed Bat (Otomops martiensseni).
- Lion (Panthera leo).
